Thinking of setting up your own business like we did?

As their children approach school age, they start to think about themselves again – what they want for the next stage of their life and let’s be honest, how to help with the expense of bringing up a family.

They yearn for something that pays the bills but also gives them the flexibility not to miss the big dates in the school diary and to be there for homework and bedtime.

It was a similar story for us when we set up Property Potential Surrey.  We were lucky that our fantastic contacts, knowledge of the local area and proximity to the houses we view on behalf of clients allowed us to set up a business that is close to home.

That’s why we have joined forces with our friends at networking organization, The Really Helpful Club and domestic staff recruitment agency, Caroline Dore Household Staff. Having gone to an excellent event held by The Really Helpful Club in London at the beginning of the year, we saw first hand how much the women attending got from the event. From practical advice from the professionals onboard, to the chance to mingle with other woman going through the same process. It helped them focus their attention on what they were going to do next, whether it be update their CV and apply for jobs or the next steps needed for setting something up themselves. We were keen to offer the same opportunity to Mums here in Surrey.

So, on September 29th at Loseley Park, Guildford from 9am until just after 2pm, we have organised six inspirational speakers who will not only inform but also motivate our audience and encourage them to get back to business.

Alongside our key speaker Debbie Wosskow MBE COE and co founder of Love Home Swap, we’ve lined up a psychologist who will tackle the ‘confidence’ issue a lot of returning mothers are plagued by, plus talks on creating the right impact on your CV, up to date IT skills, a communication skills expert and Farnham-based Your Local Business Hub Emma’s Selby who will help the entrepreneurs get their head around the powerful free social media tools available to build their brand and start their business.

We are really proud to be part of this event.  We’d love you to come and join us, contact caroline@reallyhelpfulclub.com for tickets – £40 includes a delicious lunch.
