If you know us, you probably know our story and that we set up at the end of the 2013 and started house hunting with a bang for three clients at the beginning of 2014 and haven’t looked back.
Not only do we absolutely love what we do, my kids think, I’m obsessed with houses, that maybe true but actually the thing that gets us out there again and again when the real world plays hard against our clients hopes and dreams, is that we know we make the difference to our clients experience. We are the battery pack when all energy is drained, and our proximity to the market here means that if they lose a house one day, the very next we can be back on it and it’s that momentum that is exactly what is needed when heads drop and frustration is at its peak.
Turns out, problem solving is our super power. We have not as yet been defeated. Common issues include clients exasperated when their house that was under offer, has a buyer pull out, a relocation becomes more urgent because of an ill family member or just good old exhaustion from the stresses and strains of moving from one location to another. We keep spirits up, switch to rental search, find temporary accommodation and just keep the search alive, whilst they lick their wounds if they are out bid on a house they liked (p.s we normally find them something better!)
A side of the business that we didn’t realise would be so rewarding is that we have enjoyed developing relationships with all the other professionals that we work with daily to make sure our clients get all the answers they need to make informed decisions. From the local agents, architects, solicitors, planning experts, interior designers, schools, schools consultants and project managers, our network was good from the school gates but we can contact any of the above in an instant as we’ve worked with the best in the area and can trust them to make our clients lives easier and deliver what is needed.
Of course, this is people business and we have worked for so many wonderful people. We are lucky to be able to say that a lot of clients switch to become friends, which is a real bonus. But we also get to meet people at all stages of their life, from all over the world. We get to help them when they really do just need a friendly face or someone who can get things done for them. We have had really fun days out with clients on our orientation tours, heard life stories from fascinating lives, got to know extended family members from a parent joining on a second viewing to working for one couple, then their parents or a family and then a sister moving back from abroad.
And yes, the houses themselves, we have so many stories about houses we’ve seen from creepy cottages to huge mansions owned by the rich and famous but as discretion is paramount, I’m afraid we can’t spill the beans here but what we can share is a few of the houses that we have bought in the past 10 years that we loved and posted on our Instagram a few weeks back to celebrate 10 years of us!
We are delighted to still be here and are looking forward to the next 10 years!!
